Not long ago, Williams F1 team’s Sagint accused the Williams F1 team of lacking ambition because the team has not made any upgrades to the car so far, which has kept them from making any progress. However, he was then mocked by Dutch driver Coronel, who said that Sagint always causes trouble and that too many crashes have left the team too exhausted to make any upgrades. It is obvious that the team’s decision to part ways with Sagint was a wise one.

Sargent said, “I would say that the situation is quite difficult for us at the moment. Because I think we had high expectations for the season, but the results are far from what we expected. Obviously, we have not made any upgrades to the car, which makes the situation even more difficult. We are standing still while others are moving forward.”

Coronel, on the other hand, dismissed Sagint’s view, arguing that it was the poor performance of American drivers that had put the team in such a predicament. He said, “Sagint is always surrounded by problems, which drives him crazy. He has been driving an F1 car for Williams team for 1.5 years but hasn’t really shown anything. Even for a team like Williams, it’s too little.”

Coronel further elaborated on his view, stating that Sagitt’s multiple accidents had caused significant losses for the team. He said, “The damage caused by Sagitt is too great. All the crashes cost a lot of money, and the team would rather spend the money elsewhere. Sagitt is caught in a vicious cycle, and sometimes I wonder what he’s even doing. Williams will say goodbye to him after this year, Albon will team up with Sainz, which is logical and the right choice.”
It is obvious that Coronel’s accusations against Sagint are much more uncompromising than his complaints. The American driver will leave the Williams F1 team after the end of this season, which also means he will leave the F1 race. We hope that the driver can enjoy the rest of the season and wish him a smooth career in the future.
